Skills Profile

 

• Excellent experience with Autodesk Inventor (3D), AutoCAD (2D) and SolidWorks (Piping Add-On)

• Working knowledge of CAD/CAM software for generating CNC G-Code using HSM Works

• Very proficient print reading with basic understanding of GD&T (ISO -ANSI standards)

• Experience managing and preparing needed material list/BOM with MRP systems (previously using SAP)

         and/or manually populated on drawing

• Manage quotes and coordinate fabrication of parts with outside vendors

• Experience using file sharing PDM software (Autodesk Vault) or managing saved drawing on house server

• Great mathematical skills and common rule of thumb calculations

• 3D Printing Experience (Have a personal home printer) also used employer machine at TC Millwork for prototypes

• Great computer skills with Microsoft Office Word, Access, Project, Excel and PowerPoint

• Experience working in a fast-paced machine shop/distribution/manufacturing environment

• Basic knowledge of Revit for MEP and architectural design

Mechanical Designer

Duties

• Receiving work copy (List of components and skid structure information) from estimating department to layout 2D (AutoCAD) P&ID (piping and instrumentation diagram) to submit to the customer for review; after approval, designing 3D (SolidWorks) GA (general arrangement) designing water panel and/or chemical skid for submittal. After both P&ID & GA has been accepted by the customer, breaking down each individual steel skid drawings and any custom component fabrication drawings for the shop.

• Responsible for creating Bill of Materials (BOM’s) generating within SAP – MRP system to assign new Top Level & sub-assembly Bom numbers adding them to all revised working drawing packages for purchasing department & generating on drawing per design specifications and/or company protocol

• Requesting for Quotes (RFQ’s) with Lead Times to all existing vendors or if included new part in an updated design within the upgrade process reaching out to first time vendors, keeping track of received quotes within the job folder on the company server to assist purchasing when SAP triggered order schedules

• Revise/add dimension sizes to existing tabulated drawings; check fit and over tolerance acceptance

• Supervise all shop fabricator and check in-coming components/parts sheet metal and raw material for correct sizing to associated CAD/Fab drawings
